#41: Which overdue decision am I going to make today?

There’s a decision you’ve been putting off for some time now.

Am I right?

I’m usually on the money when I ask that question by the way.

There’s someone that should have been let go …

A project that should have been killed off …

A client that needs to be fired.

In our role as ‘assistant decision makers’ to CEOs, we are used to expediting these decisions because not only are they obstacles to growth, but they very often also put a drain on both financial and emotional capital.

Emotional capital?

Yep, overdue decisions can be draining and not just for you as the person revisiting the same old decision over and over again.

I’ve seen it so many times before.

‘That someone that needs to be let go’, for example.

When it eventually gets done, there is very often a collective sigh of relief. (Same with the project that gets killed off. Or that client that needs to be fired.)

Because usually, you are not the only one feeling the pain of indecision.

BUT you are the ONLY ONE that can do something about it.

Which can be really disheartening for everyone looking to you as ‘chief decision maker’.

So, for everyone’s sake (and sanity) make that decision today.
